Phoenix.Hathority.IO app for iPhone and iPad

This opt-in app connects Public Works more directly to their customers. The app uses data provided at registration to notify residents of Phoenix, AZ about their weekly trash/garbage (landfill), recycling and green organics pickup schedules via email and/or text notifications. The app represents the first phase of a larger project design to enable just-in-time communication sent to residents of single-family homes. Residents who choose to opt in will receive weekly reminders/prompts to put out their trash (landfill), recyclables, and green organics on time. Email notifications are currently bilingual (English and Spanish); they include a link to a feedback survey for Public Works. Text/SMS messages are also available to residents who request/sign up for them within the app. interface.
